Stroke

Description:

Stroke must be treated as quickly as possible to reduce the damage done to the brain. Streptokinase must NOT be used on patients stroking as it will thin the blood, preventing clotting, damaging the brain further.

Caused By:

• Hypertension (150% or more)

Effects:

• Neurotrauma
• Seizure
• Coma
• Headache

Treatments:

• Open close surgery
