Hypoventilation

Description:

Hypoventilation is normally harmless, and can usually be ignored. Hypoventilation and Hyperventilation will cancel each other out.

Caused By:

• Opiate overdose (30% or more)
• Opioids like Opium, Morphine or Fentanyl
• Anesthesia

Effects:

• Acidosis

Treatments:

• Treating the causes
• Inducing Hyperventilation
